Dad’s Minolta, 2023 honors my Dad and his love for photography - an object that feels both tangible and deeply personal, carrying with it the quiet weight of memory. Resting in stillness, the camera became more than a tool; it became a witness to moments once lived, seen, and held.
 
The lens glows with reflected light, almost like an eye - suggesting all that it has captured, and all that remains just beyond reach. Beside it, the roll of film hints at stories waiting to be revealed, fragments of time suspended between past and present.
 
In painting it, I was drawn into a space of reflection – on his legacy, on connection, and on the ways we continue to see through those who came before us. This piece becomes not just a still life, but a quiet conversation across time.
