Lola - Collognes-la-Rouge 2024 (Lola in Collognes-la Rouge 2024)
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas - Impressionism - Unframed
Lola à Collonges-la-Rouge (2024) is inspired by my time in Collonges-la-Rouge (The Red City) - sited as the “Most Beautiful Village” in France .
The sunlit red stone glowed with warmth and history. The village felt almost suspended in time, its rich textures and climbing greenery alive with quiet charm.
Within this setting, I painted a tender tribute to my late dog, Lola, placing her gently into the scene as a way of keeping her spirit near. There is a softness here - a meeting of memory and place - where love lingers in the details and presence is felt beyond what is seen.
This piece is both landscape and remembrance, a poetic intertwining of a beloved place and my beloved friend.
